Our Faculty

Ready, set, succeed.  Meet your Academic Family.

A commitment to innovation in teaching is Rider’s hallmark. Rider’s faculty, staff, and administration strive to provide a student-centered learning environment that will continually challenge, inspire, and motivate students to learn, both within and beyond the classroom. The Teaching and Learning Center, BRIDGE, and the Center for Innovative Instruction (CII) advance this goal by allowing Rider educators to coordinate forward-thinking approaches and activities across disciplines at Rider, and to re-frame teaching and learning methods and ideas according to the most cutting-edge education research available today.

Rider University supports the development and implementation of innovative instructional strategies, including current technology options that can enhance student learning. Through these programs, we effectively promotes current advances in education throughout the University, and faculty have the opportunity to collaboratively evaluate and revise their goals for learning and assessment. Ultimately, this ensures that students are encouraged to learn and think in new ways, throughout their experience at Rider, and throughout their lives.

More than 95 percent of Rider’s faculty members hold a Ph.D. or the highest credential in their field.  Twelve are Fulbright Scholars.  Rider's faculty brings real-world experience to the classroom that elevates what you learn from mere theory to “real-world” knowledge.  They understand what a graduate needs to be successful whether it’s on the job, preparing for admission to graduate or professional school, or building long-lasting relationships.

Rider is not about giant lecture halls and a droning voice in the distance. We embrace the concept of engaged, connected learning, the open exchange of ideas and real-world experience with professors who are passionate about what they do.  Our professors not only care about your academic achievement, they also care about your personal growth and life achievement.   Sure, they’ll know your name—but more importantly, they’ll know you.

In addition to professors based on the Lawrenceville campus, the Princeton campus of Rider University offers:  World-class musicians.  Skilled scholars.  Mentors.  Learning partners.  The Faculty of Westminster College of the Arts.  What we mean is you’ll be learning and working alongside a group of passionate professionals who love what they do.  They are not just dedicated to your academic achievement, but also your personal growth and life achievement.  They are part of the living, breathing, engaging environment that is Westminster.
